Yorkshire learning providers
The Network
Yorkshire Learning Providers operates the single largest employment and skills network in the Yorkshire region and works locally, regionally and nationally to bring members the latest updates, developments, advice and guidance on FE, skills, LEP and stakeholder businesses.
YLP is actively involved in lobbying locally and nationally to ensure that members voices are heard. Alex Miles, YLP MD, is a board director and Co-Chair of the Northern Skills Network, a partnership that brings together eight Skills networks from across the North of England to discuss key issues and policy developments
YLP members receive regular communication updates, networking conferences, marketing and promotion to schools, employers and parents via the apprenticeship directory and on-going advice, guidance and support on issues that affect providers. YLP also offers reduced rates and discounts on training and CPD, recruitment services, insurance services and office supplies.
“Your impact is amazing given such a small team – you are all a force of nature”

NYCC
“YLP are a vital organisation in the FE sector, they always go above and beyond in bringing providers together, sharing information and providing second to none support services. They represent their members effectively and have been essential in raising awareness of important issues facing the sector. They are the voice for the FE sector in Yorkshire and surrounding areas.”

The Apprenticeship Directory
The apprenticeship directory is a comprehensive guide to apprenticeships and traineeships and lists all members, their provision and contact details. The directory is issued to all schools, providers, careers services and sector partners across Yorkshire. YLP offer members discounted rates for advertising in the directory on top of each members provision being included and their contact details free of charge.
“NBC find it a great opportunity to be part of the apprenticeship directory as it allows us to collectively promote apprenticeships across the district. As a private provider we would not be able to market apprenticeships to all of the schools, careers services and local authorities that the directory allows us to access.”
